I Think I Love My Wife (2007)

This was just released on March 16. Here's what movies.com says about it. "Richard (Chris Rock) is a happily married husband and father whose wife Brenda (Gina Torres) is drop-dead gorgeous and ultra-smart. Yet, after several years of marriage, Richard is growing bored with his existence, but doesn't know what to do about it. In steps Nikki (Kerry Washington), a woman from Richard's past who promises an exciting future, if she can pry the married man from his comfortable suburban home. Written and directed by Rock."

Temporarily Unavailable

I'm sure you've read all about the whole Viacom/Youtube fiasco. Due to this, I am starting to lose some of the amazing trailers I was able to find. You will notice that some most posts on this site will come up as unavailable.

Thank Viacom for that.

I am glad I waited one day to make this post as I wasn't in the best mood last night.

I can understand Viacom's position to a point, but in my opinion they have gone too far. In many instances they have taken down parodies made by die hard fans that in no way infringe on any copyright laws.

I post trailers (mostly retro and old movie trailers, some current). Yes, they belong to the companies that made them, I never said they were mine. I post these trailers to remind people of old movies. It was great to get some comments from people saying that they forgot about a certain movie until they saw the trailer (one comment went so far to say that she was going to share the old 80's flick with her now teenage son). I post these movie trailers because I enjoy movies and I want to share these trailers with others in the hopes that someone will happen along and find that one movie they had forgotten about, the one movie that reminds them of sitting in their pajamas on a Saturday afternoon with their family when they were young.

I will try to find a way to start posting again, but in the meantime there will be no new posts to this site.

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

This is a favorite movie of my husband's. We watched this together about a month ago (me for the first time). I got such a kick out of this film. My husband, being a long time heavy metal fan himself, told me that he couldn't understand what was so funny about this movie when it first came out. He didn't realize at the time that it was making fun of the performers and thought it was pretty cool.

According to Wikipedia, the movie also cut a little too close to home for some musicians. Eddie Van Halen has said that when he first saw the film, everyone else in the room with him laughed as he failed to see the humor in the film. "Everything in that movie had happened to me," Van Halen said. When Dokken's George Lynch saw the movie he is said to have exclaimed, "That's us! How'd they make a movie about us?"

In 2002 the United States Library of Congress deemed the original film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

I just watched this movie over the weekend for the second time. I liked it, especially the Robert Downey Jr. naration. Pretty funny. And I loved Gay Perry...
